Taking a moment to share.

I wanted to take a little moment to share the captured memories I am greatful for in my life. Tuesday I will have been married for 7 years! In those 7 years there of corse were highs & lows. But we made it to this moment, this 7th year. What an accomplishment. This man that has stood beside me through it all, has not only grown with me but into my best friend. He gets me in the silence. He make me smile when I'm mad. He always keeps my secrets. He catches the slack when I am weak. He loves my children with all of his heart. He is my person & I am so grateful for him.
This picture I took with my LG flip phone all those years ago reminds me why we do what do as photographers. I love being able to capture moments like this that help us share and remember the people we love forever.

Project Backpack 2011

This was my first event to volunteer Timeless Century Portrait at. With the 105 degree heat and busyness of the day I found myself pretty bummed to find I have much to learn on taking photo's at an event. This is by far not my best session yet.  But, this day was not about me or getting a shot to remember. It was was about the children.

 I am so happy to have got to be apart of Project backpack 2011 at Abundant Life Church of NWA. This is an annual event that serves NWA's children in getting ready for back to school. There is nothing like seeing the excitement in a childs eye as he/she fills their backpack with school supplies, shampoo, toothbrushes and silly bands. After filling their backpacks the children got to eat lunch, play in the jumpy houses and enjoy a puppet show while dancing and participating in games over at the Ignite Youth building. In the mean time mom and dad got to look through the free clothes provided from ALC of NWA. People helping people is what it's about. I hope this inspires you all to spread the love of Jesus every day. I want to thank ALC on behalf of us all for your constant contribution to the community.
